Upgrade IT Closets for Security

St. Cloud, MN: VA Medical Center

This project involved the upgrading of IT Closets for the St. Cloud VAMC. The project involved the included demolition and removal of assemblies and upgrades to telecommunication, electrical and mechanical systems as well as installation of new doors and door operators.

Electrical Work: bonding of the rack and cable tray sections, power for the mini split systems, firestopping for sleeves/cables, receptacles for UPS system, addition/relocation of receptacles, telecom ground bars and cabling, smoke detectors, new lighting and controls, relocation of lighting and controls, new and relocation access control devices, security cameras.

Mechanical Work: mini splits, drip pans under sprinkler pipes and around sanitary piping, VAV’s, re-route sanitary lines and any other piping. Fire protection: provide sprinklers and modifications as needed to meet Code.

Telecommunications: new fiber optic cabling, re-cabling buildings with category 6 cables during both ON and OFF hours, horizontal and vertical cable management at racks, new/relocated data racks and cable trays.
